Bring an OSE Apprentice to Your Commmunity and Start Making Change Happen

We encourage you - the broader community - to support the creation of the OSE Apprenticeship 2025 - by sponsoring students from your own community. This assumes that you have already found out about OSE, and want to reach out in your own community to generate interest, fund the student, and help recruit a suitable candidate.

When reaching out, this process may be useful.

  1. Show the Global Village Construction Set TED Talk
  2. Inform people about the OSE Apprenticeship announcement
  3. Review more info to educate yourself on our progress, such as the bigger picture of OSE, or how the current state evolved from the Seed Eco-Home / Open Building Institute Kickstarter of 2016.
  4. Help recruit people by understanding our candidate criteria for who would make a good fit - below.

Candidate Criteria

The OSE Apprenticeship is looking for young people who value:

  • Lifelong learning - growth mindset, learning how to learn. And this means learning how to communicate and negotiate effecticely - by learning how to teach. Developing the art of possibility - that anything is possible when one is open to new learning.
  • Design/Build - learning how to design, build, and problemsolve just about anything - by understanding the core modules of what makes up civilization: its technology, institutions, and society. The best way to predict the future is to build it.
  • Collaboration - true collaboration - meaning rewriting the rules of enterprise from proprietary to collaborative. Engaging is scalable, swarm development with large teams, both virtual and in real buidls.
