Candidate Criteria

The OSE Apprenticeship is looking for young people who value:

  • Lifelong learning - growth mindset, learning how to learn. And this means learning how to communicate and negotiate effecticely - by learning how to teach. Developing the art of possibility - that anything is possible when one is open to new learning.
  • Design/Build Skills - learning how to design, build, and problemsolve just about anything - by understanding the core modules of what makes up civilization: its technology, institutions, and society. The best way to predict the future is to build it.
  • Collaboration - true collaboration - meaning rewriting the rules of enterprise from proprietary to collaborative. Engaging is scalable, swarm development with large teams, both virtual and in real builds. We value both open and collaborative - at the same time. See the Distinction Between Open and Collaborative.
  • Building Character - defined largely by humility - the ability to be called out by the times to do the work that is necessary. Based on moral inttelligence, character provides internal guidance to distinguish between right and wrong - and to act with unlimited energy upon it.
  • Entrepreneurship - we are In the Arena, with active agency, engaged fully in doing good work that shifts the scarcity economy to an Open and Collaborative Economy
  • Changing the World - by understanding that there are numerous unresolved issues in civilization, and these need to be addressed, such as the Metacrisis-Singularity Paradox

The challenge is that very few 5-Legged Dogs as such exist. We are here to increase their number.
