Basics

  • This page explores the methods for, and applications of, air transport of Construction Sets such as the GVCS or other OSE Construction Sets
  • Not really that practical outside of disaster relief in most cases due to cost

Applications

  • Essentially a Civillian "Strategic Airlift" for rapid aid via equipment for Disaster Response
  • Movement of Bulky/Heavy Componets into areas with little roads/waterways for alternate transport (how to get a lifetrac, or CEB press, or full IMC to a hill, a lehicopter COULD make sense, again 1/100 odds of ever doing this, but it exists regardless

Methods

Dissasembeled Componets

Via Standard Air Cargo

  1. Dissasemble everything to whatever level is desired
  2. Pack into Boxes
  3. Send via Standard Airmail
  4. Pick up at appropriate location
  5. Unpack and assemble onsite

Via Standard Air Cargo with Intermediary for Extra Remote Locations

  1. Dissasemble everything to whatever level is desired
  2. Pack into Boxes
  3. Send via Standard Airmail
  4. Pick up at appropriate location
  5. Send Via Alternate means (Such as a short range seaplane, iceplane, or helicopter/vtol airplane) to the final destination from the hub airport
  6. Unpack and assemble onsite

Via Airdrop

Full Devices/Construction Sets (IE Not Dissasembled)

  1. Ensure everything is rated for the level of airdrop selected (Low-Velocity Airdrop, High-Velocity Airdrop, LAPES) or select according to your equipments' needs
  2. Pack into Boxes
  3. Send via Specialized Cargo Jet
  4. "Roll Off" or Airdrop at appropriate location
