Since vaccine distribution began in the U.S. on Dec. 14, more than 68 million doses have been administered, reaching 13.9% of the total U.S. population, according to federal data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The U.S. is currently administering over 1.5 million shots a day. [1]. On January 13, 2021, lag from supply with state to shot in arm was 3 weeks. [2]

1.7M/day rate is expected soon to double - [The daily inoculation average climbed to 1.7 million shots per day last week, but as many as double that number of doses are soon expected to be available on average each day.]
