Category:2D Sketch

This is a super-category for all 3D rendered images of machines and machine parts on the wiki. If you know whether an image was made in an artistic program (like Gimp or Inkscape) or a CAD program (like QCad or AutoCad), consider placing it in the appropriate sub-category.

This will help us keep track of what parts have been formally modeled in a CAD program, and which ones have only been conceptualized in a program such as Blender.

Note, that in making this distinction something like an old patent drawing would be considered an "artistic based" image since even if it was generated by CAD software, we do not have the CAD files so to us it is only a picture, still useful but cannot be CNC-milled, etc.
