on the note of gearboxes, cheap os gearboxes + motors is HUGE imo
Talking it up on the pp discord as all the machines besides some injection molders use 1-10hp motors ie 1000+usd

diy motor winding + electronics controller (odrive etc) + 3dp-ed GEARBOXES
That's my hot take i guess
