Incremental Design
Design which allows for and facilitates future expansion. This is distinct from Modular Design, which may be more difficult to implement for scaling builds than incremental design - unless measures for incremental design are considered carefully. Modular design assumes some level of incremental design, but modularity can mean adding different functions. Modularity may refer to different functions or larger size - howe er incremental design typically means larger in size. This indicates that incremental design must consider cost control more carefully than modularity - for the incremental design to be practical.
This can be extended to Incremental Rapid Design-Build. Thiseans using Swarming techniques.
