Lasersaur Exterior Panel Installation
Remaining Work on Lasersaur Assembly: 5 Jun 2014
- E-stop switch wiring needs to be rerouted to eliminate collision with exterior panels (see Lasersaur Manual
- Door switch wiring needs to be rerouted to eliminate collision with plastic door panel (see same manual above)
- Drill holes for exterior skin and plastic door panels as per LasersaurSkinDrillHoles model or online manual
- Clean/de-bur drill holes
- Attach all panels to frame
- Make washer for E-stop switch
- Any scrap of wood or plastic to bridge the hole in the aluminum panel so the switch doesn't fall through
- Drill hole in scrap to tightly fit threaded portion of switch

It's important to note that when installing the Lasersaur's exterior skin, the factory-drilled holes differ in distance from the edge of the aluminum plate by about 1mm. This means that one side will be closer to the edge of the frame (or if installed upside down may protrude beyond the edge of the frame). So, make sure the panel is not upside down when installing to eliminate any misalignment of panels.
