Thermal Design Heat Transfer – conduction, convection, radiation, insulation. Heating and cooling of machines and buildings. Blackbody radiation; solar heating; considerations for 3d printer extruder and heatbed design; conduction for heat sinks. Applications – If we are designing a 3D Printer heat bed, 3D printer extruder, induction furnace, a plastic filament maker, or a house heating system - we need to understand basics of heat transfer.
