Basics
- This Page Aims to Go Over Existing Open Source Designs for Dough Sheeters, and Propose Iterations (If Need Be)
- A Dough Sheeter is a device that takes in dough and forms precise, flat, consistent sheets with it
- While note 100% necessary (one could in theory just use a Rolling Pin ), they decrease required labor, and increase consistency/precision
- The main use cases are for Puff Pastries ( Baklava , Croissant , Empanada etc)
- Mainly relevant to Bakeries (due to the unlikeliness of the average person making sufficient amounts of / making the foods often enough to justify having one)
- If two (one for each side of the Laminate of sorts lol ) are combined with other Food Processing Equipment they can form a
- Automatic Dough Filling & Forming Machine
- These can essentially spit out a continuous conveyor belt of:
- Dumplings ( Pierogi , etc)
- Empanadas
- Filled Pastas ( Ravioli Tortellini etc)
- While more often than not this would Conventionally be used for Frozen Food / Fast Food etc, a Context Relevant to OSE Woule be if one was in some sort of Village Kitchen and it was used to quickly make healthy + high quality Meal Prep type meals for a whole crew of people!
