Overspecialization

Over-specialization is a condition where individuals gain immense prowess, but only in one or few disciplines. The issue arises from insufficient understanding of how various topics or elements of civilization relate to one another. Without such knowledge - a breadth of integrated knowledge and experience - one is rendered impotent to create new realities - but is relegated to promoting and continuing the old as a cog in the system.

TLDR: if one does not understand how what one is doing relates to everything else, their actions will be detrimental to society. If one is only a scientist, they will create technology that will be used for good and evil. If one is only a businessman, one will destroy resources extractively. If one is overspecialized, one will be a complete consumer, without the ability to produce much life-sustaining product.

OSE promotes the case that the Cost of Living can go down, products and services can become good, and one's capacity for Self-Actualization can go up only by integration, through Integrated Education, Integrated Design, and Integrated Enterprise.
