A Reducer can also be referred to as a Gear Reducer, Speed Reducer, or Gearbox. It consists of a number of mated gears. A Reducer is connected to a motor to enable the following functions:
- Lower speed (in most machines, the motor is capable of much higher speeds than required.)
- Increase torque
