I'm a farrier by day and I also have a media/ marketing business. My passion is open, decentralized tech and principals.

HintLightbulb.png Hint: Hi, funny, I also had the idea of a grid-based design and found your thoughts. I created D3D Grid. Cheers, User:Kienle

Freshly back from the excellent STEAM Camp I want to add the second Z axis to my printer, but first, I want to try to convert the components to work with Open Structures Grid I am very fresh at FreeCAD, so this will be a challenge, but I'm starting now. Once I get the CADs done, I'll post them and start a new page to show my work.

Watching videos and taking notes - getting up to date with content in STEAM Camp

Thurs Feb 27, 2020

Been busy on Steem. Created a community: DiggnDeeper.com Community This is a blockchain app like Reddit, a place to promote and discuss all things open, decentralized and such. People are interested OSE Camps and I am trying to promote there and on Discord Please feel free to drop by there anytime to discuss projects or anything open, decentralized.

I have been busy with that, but I have been working on Open Source Film Studio

Also reviewing material I expect to be at the STEAM Camp

Thurs Feb 20, 2020

I would be really interested in helping with doing documentation at the Richmond location, if that would be helpful.

I envision helping to create content that can be used by people to accurately and effectively re-create the projects that are happening at these STEAM Camps. Even for the students that participate in the camps, I can imagine it would really help to have something to refer back to when they are back home.

I have a full arsenal of professional audio/ video equipment, including several cameras that can be used in multiple locations at the same time. Beyond that, I have special server software and ideas on how to use tools such as LBRY to collaborate in a decentralized yet simple and reliable way.

If you are interested in discussing this further with me, I would love to help in any way I can.

I got some ideas from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ_vpBZiWRk @27 mins

Documentation workflow:

  • Feedback from students/ testimonials: what could be improved, what are the positives?
  • Time lapses on each project.
  • High quality audio/ video on key

Editing workflow:

  • Upload to common repository for cooperative editing:
    • LBRY, YouTube, NextCloud are all good options for different reasons. More discussion...

Unfinished - more to come.

Tues Feb 20, 2018

Continued efforts to get a grasp on FreeCAD for the dev test. Lots of videos, and instructions from https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Manual:Introduction

I can't seem to manipulate the objects. https://youtu.be/T0pPbO2HZb4

Mon Feb 19, 2018

I have the whole day to try to get the CAD test done today.

I have watched all the videos I can find on using FreeCAD and also all of the Developer Tests in .25 speed and I'm not getting it at all. I am stuck at manipulating the parts.

Contacted Marcin about being stuck. He noticed I was working with Stl files. Changed that and tried again. Still stuck.

I made it fine in Blender, but cannot manipulate parts in Assembly2 on FreeCAD.
