Hello Sharon,

I found out about you from someone in The Oil Drum forum - in that you are cynical about 'mainstream solutions' and that you respect an approach 'with ordinary skills and ordinary budgets'. You may be interested in our work - and we ask you to post about it.

Briefly, as far as we know, we are a unique experiment at reinventing the entire infrastructure of communities – in what is known as the Global Village Construction Set (http://openfarmtech.org/index.php?title=Distillations). We are also the only group that we know of who is actively developing Open Business Models in physical production, in a facility that also tests these business models first hand.

We have initiated the First World Conference on Open Source Ecology (http://openfarmtech.org/index.php?title=First_World_Conference_on_Open_Source_Ecology), where we are developing the technology and ecology tools for post-industrial settlements. I would like to ask you to help us recruit other participants.

Our goal is to find participants, and to fund the above by the 1000 True Fans campaign - http://blog.opensourceecology.org/?p=458

We are taking this work very seriously, because of its potential. If you have suggestions on our work and approach, please share them. Can you recommend others who may be interested? We believe that this work can gain immense momentum - the trick is to get out a clear message - which we just started to do.

Sincerely, Marcin
