Talk:3D Print Cooling

I'd have to devote a day or so to updating the page/adding all sorts of other related pages, but with the #SpeedBoatRace / Speed 3DBenchy type builds, there have been various optimizations for lowering Gantry Mass to reducing Ringing (FDM 3D Printing Artifact) etc and thus increase the top speed.

Also better part cooling allows for longer / more "aggressive" Overhangs so that can be a major factor in how "good" an FDM 3D Printer is.

There were various fan-driven ones, but some novel designs even used Compressed Air and custom nozzles, or converted CPAP or PAPR units (or just the hosing and something akin to a Duct Booster for the fan)

All in all there has been a PILE of research into all this with the VORON , RatRig , and HevORT Printers, so documenting all that On-Wiki is definitely a good idea long term in my opinion.
