There is a debate among animal breeders whether sprouting seeds is a good idea. While it may enhance the nutritional value, it certainly results in a loss of caloric value. If the feeding system already contains fresh greens such as duckweed or azolla, then sprouting may not be necessary. --Rasmus (talk) 19:48, 25 February 2016 (CET)
