I'll grab the model real quick, but there was a Spark Ignition Range Extended Electric Pickup that really caught my eye. Heard about it in the general mocking of cybertruck as a comparison. It seemed nice and was fully off the shelf (granted for a pretty penny as with most of these newer cars )
There is another project making a Diesel-Electric Hybrid EV that may not even have PHEV amounts of batteries. They are basically making "electric axles" (idk if it is one or two motors, one motor per wheel for Torque Vectoring would be neat!) and use an onboard diesel generator+some batteries/electronics for an efficient vehicle that can tow well (Also via V2G tech can act as a battery bank/gen set for a house)

It was the 2025 RAMCHARGER supposedly starts around $60,000 and go up to $78,000 (So only 3-4 or so normal (used) vehicles cost from reliable brands like honda or toyota)
Definitely has me intrigued, and i am happy people are thinking of Series Hybrids / Range Extended BEVs more, but the pricetag + complexity in what is probably a right to repair hostile design has me skeptical. Also the luxury features are a bit odd for a work truck, great and whatnot, but this may be aiming towards the "i need those hp to take little timmy to soccer practice" market idk lol
The other one was Edison Motors who is making the Diesel-Electric Semi Truck, the Edison L500, and is planning the Pickup truck Mod-Kits soon.
Neat bit with them is due to being in Canada they know firsthand the issues BEVs face in the cold.
Battery Heating/Cooling systems (especially the latter here in florida) are a major thing i look into as well. Given batteries are one of the main things that will fail and need fixed (short of if it is one of those neat battery swap designs / a good battery recycling system with something like a Deposit-Return or subsidy system is done) keeping those at optimal temps, charge levels, and overall just taking care of them is key.
If i ever have the money to burn, getting a Chevy Volt to mess around with would be neat.
That's my rant on all this though.
