Talk:Induction Furnace Cooling Requirements

I don't know what engineering discipline it falls under, but getting into Heat Sink Design would be neat. I am especially curious how far one can get with sheets of Aluminum or Copper maybe with a ring for a gasket between each "stack" (if they are bolted together, not welded)

One may not be as efficient as some crazy 3D Printed Metal Lattice, or that method where the metal shavings are "pushed" up to make heatsink fins, but in terms of "reprapability", to an extent even a basic "bedslinger" 3018 CNC can cut aluminum, and a good desktop gantry style one could churn these out!

That and also potentially Photochemical Machining like that demonstrated by Applied Science (YouTube Channel) would work i would think.

Just need to use the math from sites like you found marcin, or have you or someone else good with engineering math (heck even me if i was in a lecture/class or two) pull out a slide rule and figure out what all we need watts wise
