By "Wires connected recorded movie... need easy edit app" did you mean video editing?

Blender

has a video editing workspace and works about as well as some high end software like Adobe Premiere albeit like with other open source software is a bit clunkier, and has less plugins and automation. Still works great.

Here is a tutorial, it's ~3-4 years old, so the software may be a bit different, but overall the core of it should work

I don't know about simpler editing.
