My Main Concern Is: What Type of Laser is Needed
Don't Get Me Wrong, It is an amazing technology, Rocket Fuel Injectors or Heck Even Full on Rockets Such as Terran 1 are made with this today (If not done with SLM / EBM processes)
BUT short of Ruby Lasers , and Gas Lasers , at least personally i would NOT consider lasers Appropriate Materials
Granted High Power Diode Lasers are becoming affordable (Few Hundred USD for a Good Module (5w+ Optical Laser Power ) for a Diode Laser Cutter etc), but even then the tech to make them is quite complex, Fiber Lasers even moreso
I am not opposed to having one though! I'm tempted by Laser MicroJet Systems Myself if we are talking Fiber Laser Tech...EDM Level Tolerances but with NO CONSUMABLES?!? Yes Please! (Also ANY MATERIAL!)
