Talk:Open Source House Walkthrough Software

I was looking into this in a 360 Photography / 3D Scanning aspect a while back, i'll need to move links over and whatnot. Also making a page on all the various 360 Cameras (or to be really fancy, those Light Field Cameras for Volumetric Photography Volumetric Videography but i don't know if the latter exists yet, i know the Welcome to Light Fields (Demo) used state of the art commercial hardware so probably way out of reach for now, but neat nonetheless) has been on my to-do list for a while. I should do a quick dive into if there are any existing Open Source 360 Cameras too.

But yeah supposedly there is a decently sized business around Home Tours in VR for the Relator Industry.

A bunch of Proprietary software exists for it, i need to look into what Open Source 360 Photo Workflows / Open Source 360 Video Workflows exist. I know most cameras have their own custom editors, many consumer ones emphasize mobile too. (Granted i don't know if you can Record in RAW on most of these cameras either). I think the Adobe Software Suite has full support for Photo/Video (i need to look into volumetric, but again that is leading edge)

Also some sort of Blender Render, or even simple "video game" could produce Volumetric and near photorealistic quality content i'd imagine (re Photorealistic Blender Renders ) (but more of just a tour than a game, but it would be using game engines and so on) Due to the simplicity you could maybe use the Built in Blender Game Engine, although i don't know what Graphics Cards that can work with / if it could reach the 2k at 90fps kind of minimum level quality for Comfortable VR

but yeah, those are my thoughts/to-do's that this generated i guess!
