I was looking at the Self Retracting Fall Arrest Lanyard (Often called “yoyo’s” ) (as opposed to the crappy but more affordable Energy Adsorbing Fall Arrest Lanyards ), it had an RFID Tag in it according to some label, lead me down the rabbit hole of RFID Asset Management

Although as per what i heard from someone i know who worked in a warehouse which swapped, due to range limitations, RFID CAN be a major annoyance compared to conventional Barcodes so should be as a supplement to, not replacement for

It was a “ Miller MP50G-LE/50FT Falcon Edge Self-Retracting Lifeline” by the way, about $500 USD it seems. Not a current model as the official page is now region locked. All in all pretty slick though. Too bulky (and pricey) for individual wear, but for Confined Space Work this thigs a treat
