You are 18 years old you have your life in front of you. You have a chance to become immortal or to lead an ordinary life.
I am 52 yo. if there is one thing I wish I started earlier - it would be to learn how to learn. That means - not just learning things - ma y of which were for me of little real value - but learning how to learn anything - quickly, effectively, standing on the shoulders of giants. Learning patterns and sarchitectures of how the world works - so that learning new things gets ever easier. And. Not for any purpose - but dedicated to a lifelong journey of learning - that helps everybody live in a better world.
I started my lifelong learning journey by accident, when I began working on the GlobAl Village Construction Set. Pretty soon - I learned the difference between vision - and execution. Building real things - is hard. It requires an integrated skill set, creativity, and tools. Tools of learning, tools of doing. But not for any purpose - but explicitly for changing the world.
Having learned a few things about building, collaborating, and enterprise along the way, I am starting a school to for people who see a grand vision, and who are looking for tools to get there. This is not Y Combinator - where you will learn the tools of scarcity economics. This is not an ivy league school, where you you become comfortable - in unfreedom. This is not a trade school without lifelong learning. This opportunity integrates all of this - in order to transcend it.
We have an opportunity here to learn to build - to learn how to design - then with this new glimpse of power - to learn how to learn - and collaborate to solving pressing world issues, and to learn leadership and innovation on solving very hard problems. This is exactly tly the program we are building.
For 4 years, you will be immersed in an environment of rapid learning, where learn how to design and build just about anything - where you learn how to learn by learning about your mind and your role in the architecture of civilization - where open collaboration is not a word but a discipline of rigor - that you live by every day. We have a work-study option so that this world class education leaves you without debt when you graduate.
You start as an apprentice - learning to build a modern, state of art, environmentally friendly housethat comes standard with solar. You will learn build and design a house ecosystem - from structure to landscape to energy to machines and materials used to build it. And very rapidly at thay. By modular design and swarm building - each house will take you only 5 days of actual build time - with your cohort of 24. This is that Apprenticeship core.- If you succeed in this - a torture test with - with competenvy-based advancement - you can advance to the OSE Fellowship, where the focus shifts to learning how to learn and how to collaborate and how to teach. Throughout you will be learning swarm design and build techniques - of disciplined open source product development and documentation.
Your graduation exam will be twofold - a mass collaborative design and productization sprint with 240 qualified contributors each of which has at least one year of collaborative design training. Aswarm collaborative design project that tests the core of what youve been learning.. How does a large number of people work on design and build over just one weekend? By true collaboration and teamwork - which you will be mastering over the 4 years. And the second part requires teaching - your cohort of 24 will be tasked with building a complete state of art house - each member leading 2-4 apprentices from the general public - compressing into one week much of what you learned over the 4 years. With this team of around 100 - you will be amazed to see a complete house with all subsystems - take shape under your eyes in 7 days. Talking about an immersion learning experience! You will be graded on how well you deliver a teaching experience.
At that point - you have learned how to build, design- and learned how to learn, collaborate, and problemsolve with purpose. The world.is yours. You can franchise our on your own, but we will want you to continue with us - either in a Senior Fellowship where you learn to be a Civilization Designer - a work-life where R&D, continuing education is an option.
Crystallize
Crystallize what happens when you graduate and stay with us: hired to build homes where you lead a crew of 4-6 for one month builds, with you doing design-build half time, and collaborative OSPD the other half. You start with housing, but by graduation time.we should also have opportunities in digital fabrication, manufacturing automation, agriculture, machine production, software, design, etc - all convertible into Open Sector Enterprise.Developmemtnt. Simply put - we hire you as builder or designer ($33-50) or into management - where with crews you produce goods and services. With lifetime design,.if you choose to work at our campus - we have housing, energy, food, transportation, fuel for free. You can choose:
Robust Package
Requirement
- Teleology of a work-life integration of Integrated Problemsolving as a lifestyle.
- Extreme pay is based on extreme productivity, such as $200/hr where actual value at that level must be tangible. This makes for $70k/yr reward, and would be ample if expenses covered are valued at $20k/person. This is effectively 7x the $10k required for other needs. Thus, even $100/hr should be ample - $3k/month with most expenses paid - leaving only recreation, healthcare, etc. This leaves plenty for those purposes - and cuts 2/3 of taxes because one earns less while retaining a high standard of living. This does not cover costs of running enteprise, but that can be covered amply in the remainder of what one does for the rest of the week.
- If value generation is $200/hr - one model is $100 goes to the community for upkeep and 'freedom payment' to let the individual do whatever they want with the rest of their life.
- But, it is a contractual obligation. You get paid $35k/year - community gets $35k. For what? To grow open sector enterprise, ie, develop open source blueprints for civilization in active 'competition' with the 'mainstream'. The model is - distribute all enterprise by OSPD - and provide lifelong learning.
- Lifelong learning is promoted by people 'teaching', ie, distilling information.
- Pay covers major expenses (housing, food, energy, cars) which make up about 2/3 of the Cost of Living
- Person participates directly in usufruct production, meaning no marketing or distribution costs exist - allowing for extreme value generation rates
- Above is based on high skill which nobody has which can be taught easily in 4 years.
- Specific goal of OSE with this concept is a byproduct of the OSE Fellowship to provide a large pool of developers who do OSPD for their life-work integration program of lifelong learning.
- This is marketed as lifelong learning, teaching, and Integrated Problemsolving. Teaching and integrated problemsolving is included to avoid attracting too many egoistic or autistic sociopaths - by requiring a focus of collaborative benefit to society
- Integrated Problemsolver status must be maintained by continued learning and performance, where performance is measured.
- Measurement is by: predefined production requirements - with pay for performance
- OSE has the coordination infrastructure that enables high pay, where 'normal' pay would be 1/5 of the $200/hr or so. We are competing with median pay of $28k [1]. Wat outlier is $60k [2] based on $200k household income. $35k is above mean and quite good - given that 2/3 of expenses are already covered - so the actual quality of life should be comparable to people with outlier pay. Here one is paying for a lifestyle - not getting a fancy car. A car is included in the price.
- We conclude that $200/hr value generation is quite realistic, a person can be paid $35k/yr for 1 day of work per week - as an acceptable and indeed joyous burden. Value capture in product can always be redeemed - as we are always diversifying production for increased abundance.
- Contract - 4 year school. That is non-negotiable. One real option upon graduation is you retire, to 1 day of work per week at $200/hr with proven extreme manufacturing. For example, an 8 hr shift with 200kW of solar induction gets us 1600 kg steel or $1600 value. See Farm Yields Per Acre. For building a house - 1000 hr product is possibly $100/hr.
Design
Note that this in itself can turn into a replicable, executable, reachable package and business model. One aspect is land-based, another is distributed. Distributed has much more overhead for tax/accounting of multiple parcels, possibly - but this can likely be negotiated. Legal must likewise be worked out in terms of contracts, maybe see if we can do self-taught legal under Janelle Orsi
- Food, energy, housing, fuel is paid for by your 1 day per work. This work is extreme production, so you work 1 day, get paid, cover costs, pay the contract community.
- Explore this fully. Skill set must be in house, ag, energy, water, waste, IFWMS, etc.
- Ungameable stewardship principles met
- Requirement of skill refreshment and update via lifelong learning
- Ability to collaborate
- Voluntary lifestyle - 20% work for required duty. Define this clearly and come up with a contract.
- Balance between burden and duty to community
- You have full privacy rights - choose with whom and how you interact. This is designed structurally and principle wise.
- Numbers - $100/hr productivity means $3200/month pay upon guaranteed skill. $36k/yr.
Stipend of $25k, for UBA production of 2 days per week while maintaining time-binding documentation standards.
Cont
That means you can plug in effectively into teams of thousands doing a focused effort. Because we trained you to do this, and helped you to build your character away from any toxic behavior - a prerequisite for effective collaboration. This character building is an essential aspect of Learning How to Learn.
In the apprenticeship, Fellowship, and Senior Gellowship- you will plug into an opportunity of lifelong learning - a we intend to create the most effective Civilization Design-build learning possible. If.you are 18 to, you can choose a regular path. Or join us, to becomean open source immortal.
You will learn how to read. Not just reading, but what to read, what to avoid, and how to read it - for max retention, speed, and purpose. You will learn how to write. Not just to write - but how to do so to gain clarity, to explore concepts, and engage in global time binding. You will learn how to count. Not how to count - but numeracy to understand available resources, calculations of basic reality and physics, and validation of basic or advanced engineering design. From here, you are ready to learn about thinking, logic, algorithms, and mental models. Just the basics: a more accurate perception of reality for making better decisions - understanding architectures and patterns of the things around you.
Our pedagogy is basic. If you understand how to build, then you can learn how to design. If you can design-build - you will learn how to do it effectively because you will be forced to think about HOW to build and how not to build. Once you can build. You gain a glimpse of power. Once you gain power, you will learn that with great power comes.great responsibility - and that you will need to build your skillset and mindset for lifelong learning. Of character, leadership, ethics, execution - with meaning and purpose. To us, the end point of this learning process is open, collaborative design as the preferred model of economic theory and practice. Beyond the scarcityindser.that underlies today's scarcity-based economic systems.
The new operating system will bebased on abundance - not scarcity economics when available resources could easily sustain many more billions - if used wisely and effectively. Society does not incentivized this wisdom. Our goal is to close.this gap. Join our program to participate in this process, so you can do to sfor a living.
