Basics
- A Brand of Off The Shelf Lift Gates for pickup trucks and similar vehicles
User: Eric ‘s Experience with Them
- My latest job has these on all company trucks and they are VERY nice.
- For bulky stuff like full barrels and whatnot you roll them or use the trolley for them and once on yhe lowered platform the hydraulics do all the lifting work
- On a related bit, one of the trucks has removable fence like side panels which allow loading pallets or IBC Totes via a forklift directly which is another nice feature
- The G2 Series is what we have
Some Thoughts on Potential Improvements
- Some sort of integrated scale would be neat. I’ll have to read up what an overload situation would look like, it may take a stack of lead bricks or something but it does sound “unhappy” sometimes if that makes any sense with some of the barrels!
- Also for Yard Work it can ‘’BARELY’’ fit a Ride On/ Zero Turn Lawn Mower (at least the model we have, I’ll try and grab the brand/model of lawn mower we have). Having one with some sort of folding section to get a few more inches farther out would be nice for that. Granted “right tool for the right job” and all that (ie use a proper Landscaping Trailer , but a Stake Truck on it’s own is ‘’really’’ handy!
