Treadmill ROI

From Open Source Ecology

ROI so marginal for equipment - that the user/contractor is constantly on the treadmill looking for work, spending oodles an operating costs, and at end of lifetime (5000 hours) having to do it again. See discussion at Skid Steer Sourcing.

Wait, was that a skid steer over there? Nah, that looks like a treadmill to me.

This is a disgrace to humanity and dishonor to hard working people trying to make it through the day. This needs civilization-wide correction.

Open source does 10x over China. China is 2x-3x cheaper than USA. Open source takes China, open sources it, and affords lifetime design with transparent design, easy-to-source parts, and easy repair - all from common off-the-shelf components. Designed for lifetime - not obsolescence.
