Economics

  • At $50k for a new Chinese skid steer from a US importer - ROI over lifetime is only 2-3 - and that is with off-brand best-in global class such as XCMG from China [1]. Which brings the chat to lifetime design - of a for-ever machine. A 50 year machine has 40 ROI = Freedom. Chat starts the design process, but it needs training.
  • If considering a brand name - 75 hp grade costs about $75k. ROI there? Treadmill ROI. See details:
  • Compare to rentals - $2200/month for a wheel skid, 75 hp Case SV280. [2]. Per year - say you use it 4 hours for 250 days - 1000 hours per year [3]. Yearly cost to rent is $26k. So a China skid bought - has an ROI say 5x compared to rental.
  • Check.pngOSE version: 50x ROI! That is called freedom. Chat - [4]
    • 76 hp (2x EFI 999 cc)
    • $15k materials cost
    • Fuel from plastic pyrolysis
    • Power Cubes with <$1000 annual maintenance/operating costs
    • Lifetime design - common off the shelf parts. 50 year or more life, not 5 year.

Subject: Request for Full Service Documentation and Spare Parts List Before Purchase of Skid Steer Loader

Dear [Supplier's Name / Sales Manager],

I am considering purchasing one of your skid steer loaders for use in the United States and am reaching out to request detailed service-related information in advance of any purchase decision.

Since this equipment will be shipped overseas, it is essential for us to evaluate in advance the feasibility, cost, and logistics of long-term repair and maintenance. For this reason, I kindly ask that you provide all available documentation prior to purchase to help us assess the total cost of ownership and lifetime support potential.

Specifically, please send the following (if available):

Full maintenance and service manual

Complete exploded part diagrams / assembly drawings

CAD files (2D or 3D) for major components, if accessible

Full Bill of Materials (BOM)

List of suppliers or brands used for core components (e.g., hydraulics, engine, pump, electrics)

Complete electrical and hydraulic schematics

Troubleshooting guides

Any firmware/software files and diagnostics tools, if applicable

An exhaustive list of spare parts, including:

Parts we may need to source from third parties

Spare parts that you stock and offer for purchase

Any wear parts or components typically requiring replacement within the first 1–3 years of use

My intention is to determine not only the immediate value of the machine, but also the realistic lifetime expectation after the first breakdown — particularly whether it will be feasible to repair locally, or if we will be dependent on long and expensive shipping for parts or technical support.

If you could provide these materials promptly, I would greatly appreciate it and will be in a much better position to make a confident purchasing decision.

Looking forward to your detailed response.
