So far we have done this announcement, and results weren't good - only 8 candidates, and none of them outstanding. Thus, the new suggested application is this:

Please summarize your relevant experience in welding, torching, machining, mechanics, hydraulics, automation, power electronics, hot metal work, CAD, CAE, machine design, and anything else related to prototyping of machines. Please also tell us how much pay you are looking for. This is a full time position, living on site, but we can also consider focused Dedicated Project Visits of 1 or more months in duration - pending a rigorous, focused plan and budget. We are looking for volunteers and paid positions.
Identify top priority organizations that have interest in open source products, distributive enterprise, DIY tools, hacking, collaboration, systems change, expanding human potential, and collaboration architecture.

Please frame that within a Letter of Interest based on our current goals, summarized in http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/Strategic_Plan_2_Ambitious and relevant to My Story - http://opensourceecology.org/wiki/My_Story. Tell us why we should select you - specifically - to fill in the role of Master Prototyper or Machine Designer.
