The recommended workflow for Explainer Videos that we use as of 2/2016:
- Record voiceover. Voice is the most important part of a video.
- Use Audacity to get rid of noise and to save as mp3 for PowToon in next step.
- Use PowToon for intro screen. See PowToon for library assets for video production.
- Record short video clips of person talking as needed.
- Edit videos and other content in Kdenlive. Add one of Open Source Soundtracks.
- For interactive videos, create destination webpages for clicking to.
- Upload to YouTube or Vimeo, and use the Interactive Video capacity in YouTube or use Popcorn to add the interactive features (click-on events, etc).
