Basics

Often Abbreviated as VOC
Chemicals with high vapor pressure at room temperature (see also Standard Operating Conditions )
Useful in paints, and resins, or as solvents
Can be a health risk and/or pollutant if not managed correctly
Can also result from combustion and some industrial processes
Main method of industrial reduction is with some form of a Gas Scrubber
