Seminal book on SuperCooperators - [1]

For OSE's purposes, supercooperators are individuals or organizations who promote radical open source and Useful Source of information, especially towards the goals of free and open enterprise. OSE-spec Supercooperators are:

  1. Integrated Humans - because without a drive for growth on all levels, one is not able to cooperate fully
  2. Open Source Culture advocates - those who see Open Source not only as practical, but also as philosophically sound.
  3. Strong Internally - inner strength allows them to filter the noise to see that there is benefit to pursuing the greater good.
  4. Systems Thinkers - those who see sufficient connection between disciplines and endeavors to envision higher benefit from open cooperation rather than a disciplinary approach
  5. Independent and Self Sufficient - because they are self-sufficient, they can engage more effectively with others - never compromised by dependence, need, or insecurity

OSE Case + Supercooperators Candidates

OSE is identifying Supercooperators. Specifically, we shift this definition to those who are interested in developing for the concept of the Open Source Everything Store: a repository of products with collaboratively-developed, open source production infrastructure. This implies that participants would use identical production engineering, thus allowing for Distributed Quality Control. We include acceptance of Economic Significance as an outcome of collaboration because ultimately, sharing economic prowess is the most profound form of sharing. That is, we can be nice until we hit scarcity conditions. Thus, the enlightened collaborator pursues mutually-assured abundance - proactively. If the deepest form of sharing is where we share economically - then in the digital age, that means collaborating on open source product design. This means elimination of Competitive Waste, while being aware of the possibility of Collaborative Waste.

Requirements for subject of supercooperation:

  1. Scope is everything under the sun, prioritized as common, large market consumable goods or durable goods, similar to the OSE Product Selection Metric.
  2. Entry barriers are low, for both developed and developing nations. This means that the package involves sufficient Technological Recursion of productive machines to the point that these can be build from abundant resources anywhere (such as waste plastic or scrap steel).
  3. Common production tools, such that the same production protocols can be used. Same software as well.
  4. Construction Set Approach, Module-Based Design, Scalability of all products.
