Basics

  • A Handheld Device, that is similar to a Hot Glue Gun , but precise like a 3D Printer
  • Also typically uses FDM Filament not "Hot Glue Sticks" (need to look into what material those are)
  • Can be used for:
    • Art
    • Tweaks/Repairs to FDM Printed Parts
    • Joinery of FDM Printed Parts
    • Almost as a form of 3D Sketching

Layout/Part Planning

Brains/IO Module

  • Has the power in ( USB-C DC power Delivery?, and filament in ports)
  • Has some small pcb controller (needs 1 servo controller, and something to control the heaterblock, probably also something for indicator lights and/or a small display)
  • Also all the needed power conversions etc

Extruder Module

  • Has a OSE Extruder and a small motor (thinking those small hobby rc servos?)

Hotend Module

  • Has a standard hotend, and the OTS exchangable nozzles
