Basics

  • A semi-permiable membrane that allows only for protons to flow through
  • Used for Batteries, Fuel Cells, and Electrolysers
  • Typically uses a Floropolymer such as the proprietary Nafion

Possible Issues

  • These are easy to find online etc, but making membranes from scratch may be very tricky, especially if using florine
  • We should look into other membrane options
