We have 121.125" to the top of the 2nd story flooring from the top of the sill, then we need to add 1.5" for the sill, which makes the total rise 122.625"

We went from 2-'stringer'-blocking design (of [[2021 Stair Design Guide]]) to regular, 3-stringer design.


The stair landing takes care of 6.25" (5.5" 2x6 plus 3/4" planks), so the stairway needs to rise 116.375"
