Note that the original formulation included 50 machines, the GVCS Proper. However, the mission was expanded to include an institution construction set. Institutions involve abstract concepts, such as manufacturing, freedom, education, etc - and OSE intends to develop a blueprint for civilization that builds upon all human knowledge. The claim is to create paradise, such as that promised by humanists, demagogues, and religions alike - so in this sense this is nothing new.
