Big Picture

There are many ways to engage in production:

  1. Small enterprise - go and build something. Regulatory hurdles may or may not exist, this may typically be simple.
  2. Franchise - standards for quality and alignment become important.
  3. Factory production - for example Factory-Built Modular Homes must undergo approval. In such routes, various certifications, approvals, compliance, legal hurdles, engineering approval, etc - may be required. We open source and bring all of these in house.

Introduction

This is a description of Step 7 of the Template:Enterprise

Production refers to producing a product in a production facility. This means the step-by-step procedure for taking materials and upgrading them to a finished product.

This relates to Facility Design in how the production workflow is carried out, and where materials are found, in a production facility.

This relates to Quality Control in the performance requirements and checks which are necessary for the product.

Production can also refer to production by events, such as OSE's Extreme Manufacturing Workshop, which is a detailed workflow that can include steps 6-10 of Template:Enterprise.
