This is a disgrace to humanity and dishonor to hard working people trying to make it through the day. This needs civilization-wide correction.
Open source does 10x over China. China is 2x-3x cheaper than USA. Open source takes China, open sources it, and affords lifetime design with transparent design, easy-to-source parts, and easy repair - all from common off-the-shelf components. Designed for lifetime - not obsolescence.
