Basics
- A Liquid Hydrocarbon used mainly as a Liquid Fuel in Spark Ignition Internal Combustion Engines
- Most often derived from Fossil Fuels
- Usually Crude Oil
- It can be derived from other fossil fuels via a Coal-to-Liquids / Gas-to-Liquids approach etc
- Also most gasoline contains Gasoline Additives to modify Octane Rating as well as various other properties
