Basics
- This page aims to lay out the various Open Source, and more informal semi-documented DIY Designs out there for Lathes in order to reduce any Redundancy Waste in the Development/Sourcing Process
- Most designs tend to fall into the Wood / Polymer - MILD Brass / Aluminum work area due to less rigid construction
- A Notable Exception would be the Concrete Lathes and the Gingery Lathe / Forks of that Design
- Worth mentioning, but not discussed on this page are Old Used Lathes, and Modernization of them to DRO / CNC Function, as well as upgrading of lower quality Chinese White Label Lathes with Metal Gears or VFD Motors etc
