Hi all. | |||
I was thinking on correct/reedit the cad models in needs.
For example i would like to add .fcstd on open source cad starting from existing library (concrete example may be the wheel).
This should be the correct place to add the wheel i think: "https://wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki/Car/Bill_of_Materials" (if i get right)
This may be the cad file for the wheel : "https://wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki/File:Wheelmodel_3.FCStd" (just one option i suppose, or may need to be reworked)
So now if i add a file like copy and past, modification of the original are not passed to the copy so this may create a chain where if you change something in one component all dependent assembled parts may result in broken or unlinked. (hope i express myself idea quite clear).
So my question is: can anyone point me on how to work correctly to add component in a dynamic library if possible ?
If not possible can i work (and if yes ... how) to implement a dynamic library in the wiki ?
I did a little work on documentation (page was dated 2012) so i'm not sure that may be useful, and roaming in the wiki i saw that most of the information i added was already present in other subsection so in my opinion the entire wiki need a backbone before expanding because it's very painful to access in a profitable way (i may not understand the right way to use it).
So feel free to contact me for easy task you need or point me to some step by step work that may be on merging and linking pages or simply remodeling pieces in cad.
Thanks for your help and clarification, looking forward to help you grow asking for a path that i can follow so I'll help in fixing instead of adding more confusion.
Cheers | |||

PS | |||
Maybe with this kind of work i can produce an updated guide on how to contribute at wiki or a more clear one (shrinking in small steps may help ?)
Thanks again |
