Intro

The goal is to develop OSE to the point of Linux-scale development - where thousands of people are contributing to the kernel for a new civilization. Indeed, our level of cooperation must exceed that of Linux, as a civilization is more complicated that a computer kernel.

We make the road by walking at OSE, and currently we use a combination of elements to move development forward. Each is in development:

  1. OSE Developers
  2. OSE STEAM Camps - creating a collaborative design-literate public
  3. OSE Clubs - transforming schools and other organizations to collaborative design
  4. Open Source Everything Store
  5. Rapid prototyping via Open Source Microfactory machines, especially 3D printers
  6. FreeCAD and Part Libraries

More of the elements and principles that we use are listed at OSE Collaboration Protocol

The bottom line is this: How do we design an integrated development process for working effectively as a team, where one part feeds into another, and nobody is left out?
