Your cap sense design looks promising an (per marcin's question) I think we should pursue parallel development with the PSoC4 design.

One concern is oxyfuel height tracking near edges & holes which would probably benefit from a multichannel sensor.

My time avail is limited so I expect you will have a prototype under test before I get too much further.
