  • To learn design - apprentices contribute to real product development by designing and then producing materials. Materials are designed in FreeCAD, and are then 3D printed. This applies to landscape block, porous pavement, trim, siding, roofing, lumber electrical boxes, plumbing fittings, and many other functional parts. By working on practical projects, apprentices get to learn in the fastest way possible. This also turns all apprentices into significant contributors to the actual product. This also applies the Edge of Knowledge concept - as many of the things that we will be doing have never been done in an economically signficant way, and will create new possibilities for society at large.
  • The OSE Materials Production Facility contains 3D printers, plastic shredder, and filament maker to make 3D printing filament from waste plastic including wood-filled filament.
