Hint: Recommended metal gauges is 11 gauge or 1/8", though 10 and 12 gauge will work as well. The frame file below uses a 4'x8' sheet of steel for cutting. If we use a 5'x10' sheet of steel - then we can get 20", 18", 16", 14", 12", and 10" frames with respectively smaller possible print area. Thus, each 5x10 sheet gets you 18 frame sets, minimizing material waste.
Version History
- the April 4, 2017 version is 4-nested. Optimizing material use over the original
- 20 February 2017 version is 3-nested
Notes
- November 9, 2018 cutting quote is $297 + $40 delivery from Seaman and Schuske.
