Basics

• Any way of making SATNAV more accurate

Regional Scale

• This is done mainly using Navigational Sattelite Constellations to fill in gaps others leave in certain areas, aims to increase accuracy to the standard level

RTK

• This is useful for smaller scale applications such as Surveying and ROVs, aims to increase accuracy to cm or mm level

Redundancy

• This can be done by more than one receiver and checking for errors
• Also additional systems such as Loran can be used for redundancy
• Also techniques such as Dead Reconing can be used for redundancy as well
