First off some questions on your products: - Are you going to make a ball screw version?  Why/Why not (ie advantages of leadscrews vs bvall screws or vice versa) - Can the WorkHorse XL be scaled up to 1 cubic meter with the same hardware?  -Can the WorkHorse XL be scaled up to 10 cubic meters with better hardware (larger screws/more of them, better extrusions etc)?

Secondly The Pitch for Some Volunteer Work:

I volunteer for a group called "Open Source Ecology" Basically they are developing 50 machines for what they call the "Global Village Constructtion Set" Essentially every machine needed to build an run a city; all open source

Here is the ted talk about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S63Cy64p2lQ

The main thing I think would be of interest to you would be the D3D Pro 3D Printer.  It is a 3D Printer, that we are also working on a toolchanger for (there is also a more ruggedized cnc circuit mill version), but they also have all sorts of other cool stuff.  The main selling point is it has the lowest part count in the industry and is easy to build and maintain. Here is the link for the wiki page (most stuff happens here) : https://wiki.opensourceecology.org/wiki/Main_Page

I was wondering if you would be able to Use your experience in building CNC machines (Especially the WorkHorse XL) to aid us in building the D3D Pro, and possibly a toolchanger version We also have a CNC Torch Table, and CNC Multimachine (The Torch Table has Working Prototypes) in the works. Your help would  be greatly appreciated.  I also think it would be beneficial to us both as you could gain more machines, and even sell them and/or run some of the camps we are making plans for. All of the work is Work when you can/want to so there is little pressure.  There is a development team with time requirements, but that is not required, and the requirements are quite easy to meet anyways.  In the future their may be payed positions for various tasks, but don't count on that as the main appeal.

All in all  - You have know how and working prototypes - We need know how, and appreciate working prototypes - We have resources, ambition, and can market to a certain degree (Mention eachother etc) - Work for us is work when you can so there is little interference with your current schedual/business, time is money and all that

So if intrested feel free to email back about that, and/or create a wiki account and start!

Thanks, Eric Lotze
