Hire welding instructor for OSE, 3 hrs - 2 times per week to cover all procedures:

  • Spot welding
  • Upside down
  • Power and speed settings
  • One setting for all welds
  • tacking
  • Rebar trusses
  • Trailer fabrication
  • Power Cube fabrication
  • Welfare MIG welder
  • 200A MIG
  • Spray transfer
  • Painting: HVLP, enamel, spray cans.
  • Work prep
  • Weld testing
  • Lathe-based circular welding - get belt and power unit for indoor. 1/2 hp Hydraulic Power Unit
  • Rebar truss welding
  • Welder teardown and maintenance
  • Gears, chain drive, hydraulic cylinders, trailer build, etc.

We do everything in pairs: one documenter/earner, one doer/instructor with switching roles..

Sample Description:

  • Fits, aligns, and clamps work, usually in fixtures, to prepare for welding steel
  • Performs basic manual or semi-automatic arc welding of railcar parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies on production line.
  • Follows job orders including Weld Procedure Sheets while at the production line workstation.
  • Visually inspects work, repairs defective welds, and performs minor repairs.
  • Ensures that safety and housekeeping standards are met and maintained.
  • Ensures that Personal Protective Equipment requirements are followed and maintained.

  • Carpenter Welder - 40% carpentry, 40% welding school, 20% LtL. collaborates with Seed Eco-Home Apprenticeship cohort
  • Works with Microcontroller and Coding for automation up to RTK GPS positioning, base stations, fiducials, 3D scans, geofencing, etc.
