vapor barrier
What is being used for vapor barrier to control moisture within the insulation? --Evan Bell 00:44, 13 September 2011 (CEST)
i think ceb bricks, i suggested saran wrap. --Dorkmo 02:10, 13 September 2011 (CEST)
Standard vapor barrier is basically thick sheets of 6 mil plastic. Saran wrap wouldn't cut it. This is something really really important... if there isn't a solution you will destroy your insulation (as MJN says below) and you will have mold, mildew and moisture problems in the house. Hope this is being considered. --Evan Bell 22:25, 14 September 2011 (CEST)
Straw bales need to be kept very dry or they start to go moldy. Mjn 04:22, 13 September 2011 (CEST)
yeah i was joking at the time i suggested bc no one was listening to me when i brought up water/vapor barriers. thought i'd bring the dry humor here, get it, dry... humor --Dorkmo 00:33, 15 September 2011 (CEST)
