Talk:Hydrogen Turbine

Granted if this is referencing the Grid Scale GE Combined Cycle Gas Turbine power plants (which are typically Natural Gas run, but CAPABLE pf running on blends (akin to H-CNG )), it’s a bit apples and oranges Technology Readiness Level wise.

Gas turbines are getting damn near as good as is possible, meanwhile Fuel Cells are ‘’’barely’’’ at Grid Scale.

I’ll have to dig and see, but short of some SOFC based Uninterruptible Power Supplies , the Toyota Mirai FCEV , and maybe that one company using Apollo-esque Alkaline Fuel Cells for grid storage, Fuel Cells are still a bit new/underdeveloped.

Also Combined Cycle Fuel Cell plants beat out CCGT but yeah

Neat tech regardless!
