Talk:Solar Belite Concrete

My main question would be Permitting / Zoning as well as OSHA / MSHA stuff etc

Not impossible to do, but may want to hire a relevant lawyer to get those types of questions answered proper early on.

I know when we do jobs at “Cemex” we have to deal with MSHA stuff (short of MAYBE Batch Plants?, the one with the Crushers + Washplants etc are all intense on all that.

Then if doing it at FeF there could MAYBE be zoning issues? For stuff like Building Housing / Machines or Lifetracs etc that sort of “light industry” / maintenance shop stuff blends in pretty well, but might be getting into some issues once you get large scale truck movements + dust emissions etc. SOLVABLE, but something you want to do pre-angry letters/fines etc

(Even CBI for transporting UMO / Drums of Contaminated Dirt etc has a whole bunch of licenses/paperwork and all that jazz to keep up to date)

Finally, what’s the Technology Readiness Level]] on Electric Rotary Kilns etc?

A conventional Pulverized Coal Combustion]] (or related Solid Fuels / RDF or Tires etc) or Gas Burner based Rotary Kiln while not cheap is probably the type of thing that is available off the shelf and a BIT more “plug and play” (short of again permitting/shaking the right hands/having the funds + MAYBE sight specific things like Soil Analysis for Foundations etc)

Short of maybe Arc Furnaces, Larger Induction Melters/Forges (N/A for cement clinker production etc), or maybe Indirect Hydrogen etc (although this is probably only for the “big fish” and/or may not be for sale in the USA due to not being viewed as “competitive” without Carbon Pricing etc

Finally Rotary Kiln Waste Heat Utilization and Rotary Kiln Emissions Control / Concrete Manufacturing Pollution Control would be big things to look into

Also how much water would be needed and what cost/permits for that would entail (although at least y’all aren’t in a desert or anything!

All in all pretty neat stuff, but we want to figure out these odd legal/technical bits pre-getting TOO involved in something, or even worse getting fines/bad press etc
