nesting software

are you having any luck with svgnest? i tried a lot of different methods and had scaling issues and loss of details and other wierd stuff when i tried to convert back to dxf. i was thinking if problems persist it would be possible to run the nesting program and then replicate the output that the program did by hand in freecad. --Dorkmo (talk) 22:43, 8 October 2017 (CEST)

Were you able to output good SVG's from FreeCAD using the export function?

I'm not getting good SVG's despite the documentation suggesting the raw CAM output mode should work.

I was actually exporting from OpenSCAD straight to SVG. Looked fine in other programs until i uploaded to svgnest. So i think i had a good file. But when using svgnest either the file would turn to mush immediately upon upload, or it would nest fine but then would download with goofy problems after it was nested. I tried a lot of different methods and never had any luck. --Dorkmo (talk) 01:56, 9 October 2017 (CEST)
